TikTok verification is not something you can buy, and it's not a follower-count reward. It's a credibility signal the platform grants to accounts it considers notable, authentic and active.

• Authenticity — a real person, brand or entity, with a complete profile and consistent history.
• Notability — coverage or recognition outside TikTok, such as press, awards or a verified presence elsewhere.
• Activity — regular, original posting and genuine engagement.
• Security — two-factor authentication enabled and a confirmed email and phone number.

Why most Kenyan applications fail

The usual reasons are a thin external footprint and an incomplete profile. Follower count alone rarely qualifies. Verification is decided on who you are off the app as much as on it.

• Get covered — local press, podcasts, blogs or brand partnerships that mention you by name.
